Gristmill Single-Shot Local Flour Share

Beginning in 2023, we will be offering a grain share for those in a drivable radius (sorry if you’re far away, but shipping would be a bear!). This is a terrific way to get larger amounts of flour, in bulk.

Somewhere in the vicinity of 2007, we followed the lead of the agricultural CSA movement and created one of the earliest bread shares in Vermont! Subscribers paid upfront for 10 weeks of freshly baked, wood-fired Artisan bread that we delivered weekly to local drop off points in neighboring towns. The CSA model took the gamble out of baking and dropping loaves of bread at a store; hoping that a customer would come looking that day. 

Fast forward to 2023. We’re once again pulling the successful model out of our back pocket. Introducing the Gristmill Single-Shot Local Flour Share. Stock your pantry for the winter!

Sign up for a share and receive freshly milled flour, berries and pancake mix in February 2023.

Here’s what you get for your share:

10 lbs whole wheat flour

10 lbs buckwheat flour

5 lbs wheat berries

5 lbs rye flour

2 lbs whole wheat pancake mix

2 lbs buckwheat pancake mix

Dropoff points in Rutland (at the Rutland Food Coop OR at VFFC), Middlebury (ACORN Food Hub), or at the mill at Naga Bakehouse, Middletown Springs.
